Para la tarea de esta semana, el maestro mi dijo de escribir su una tema del libro. Por eso, decidi de hablar del terremoto de 1989. No hubo mi primer terremoto. Cuando viví in NYC en 1985, fue un piqueño, si inesperado, terremoto; inesperado porque no conoscieron que hubo una falta en NYC! Pero, el terremoto de 1989 fue mucho más fuerte, y hubo mucho más daño. Yo estuve en casa esperando el quarto juego del World Series entre SF y Oakland, cuando el terramoto sucedió.
El edificio donde viví en aquel hora es uno de aquello nuevo en SF, construido como hacen en Japan, con rodillos debajo del edificio, en modo que el edificio se movió, pero las cosas entre los apartamentos no se cayeron. Pero, vivimos en el noveno piso, y no hubo electricidad, y dobimos salir y subir de las escalaras! Menos mal que hubieron las luces de emergencia.
