La clase de Carmen: La tarea 3 octubre 2019

No sé mucho de fútbol (no creo que haya visto alguna vez el juego jugado) pero me imagino que es un deporte de ritmo muy rápido con muchas oportunidades para las lesiones.  (Un deporte que juegas cuando eres joven).  Además, parece que no importa cuánta atención esté recibiendo ahora el fútbol femenino, todavía parece ser un deporte dominado por los hombres.  Y finalmente, la heroína del artículo es una mujer turca que probablemente también sea musulmana.  Ella proviene de una cultura que a menudo desaprueba que las mujeres hagan algo que tradicionalmente no se considera femenino.

Así que, frente a todo esto, aquí está esta mujer viviendo su sueño.  Azize es un modelo a seguir increíble.  No solo para mujeres jóvenes, sino también para mujeres en general.  (Es bueno que otras mujeres de la edad de Azize la vean jugar o escuchar su historia, y se inspiren a unirse a un club.)  Pero también es triste pensar en lo que pudo haber tenido que sacrificar para lograr ese sueño.  Se casó más tarde y no tuvo hijos.  Y dudo que alguien quiera escuchar que sus padres preferirían que estuvieran muertos en lugar de verlos jugar al fútbol.   

Para me, el mensaje de su historia es que no importa tu edad o antecedentes, si tienes un sueño, síguelo.  Le tomó más de cuarenta años, pero lo logró.   Aunque, teniendo en cuenta lo mucho que amaba a ese equipo, es una pena que no pudiera usar los colores del equipo para su vestido de novia.
