No sabía nada de la historia de las fronteras actuales en sudamérica, pero me interesa mucho.    No he pensado mucho en eso, pero sí, es muy interesante que hay un solo país en esa parte del mundo donde se habla portugués, rodeado de países hispanohablantes, y que los países hispanohablantes son a menudo mucho más pequeños que Brasil.  Tiene sentido, pero la idea de que, en estos años sin comunicación rápida, Napoleon y su hermano fueron partes integrales del desarrollo del mundo al otro lado del globo es impresionante- ¡la realeza de europa estaba escapando, pero con todo su gobierno a cuestas! Por supuesto, los españoles y los portugueses no fueron los primeros habitantes de esa tierra, y las capitales de sus virreinatos existían en centros que ya habían establecidos durante siglos. Pero los europeos llegaron con “derechos” a conquistar (= esclavizar) el continente y asentar sus civilizaciones donde quisieran, y también con enfermedades extranjeras a la gente indígena, que la mataron. Así establecieron el nuevo mundo “dorado.”
