Leí el primer articulo biográfico sobre Quino y el segundo escrito más intimista. Me dieron ganas de buscar tiras de Mafalda y mientras haciendo eso, descubrí un blog que comparó Mafalda y Peanuts, las historietas famosas de Charles Schulz. Mafalda y Charlie Brown tienen más o menos la misma edad pero las semejanzas terminan con eso. Mafalda, como dice el articulo de la tarea, es una niña contestataria. Ella aborda cada tema frontalmente y no duda en cuestionar el orden establecido. Los personajes de Peanuts me parecen mucho más inocentes, incluso ingenuos. Digo “parecer” porque no conozco las tiras Peanuts mucho más que de Mafalda. Peanuts aparecía cada domingo en el periódico pero no me interesaba mucho. Preferí Garfield y The Far Side por su humor sarcástico. Quizás si Mafalda hubiera sido publicada en el periódico SF Chronicle habría leído y me habría gustado. Creo que muchas niñas  estadounidenses se habrían sentido menos solas en sus sueños de revolución social y environmental si conocieran a Mafalda.
