Aunque yo había oído hablar de la Epopeya de Gilgamesh, no sabía que era exactamente. Escrito alrededor de 2100 aC, la fue una poema épica de Mesopotamia, fue considera el más antiguo y notable de la literatura sobreviviente, y el segundo texto religioso más antiguo según Wikipedia. La epopeya fue escrita en cuneiforme en las tabletas arcillas en el idioma acadio. Yo nunca he oído hablar del acadio, un idioma extinto se hablaba en Mesopotamia desde el tercer milenio antes de Cristo.

Los aspectos de la vida cotidianos y prosaicos también se conservaron en las arcillas.
