El inspector recibió el llamado a las 8 de la mañana sobre un asesinato. Un hombre, Señor Torres, le dijo que su esposa había asesinada. El inspector fue rápido en su auto a la casa del Torres. Había nevado la noche anterior y cuando llegó, el inspector vio huellas caminando hacia la casa. Él caminó a la puerta y entró.

- Por favor, pase - dijo Sr. Torres. -Mira a mi esposa, está muerta aquí en la cocina. Acabo de volver a mi trabajo cuando te llamé. Regresé a encontrar mi esposa muerta. Estaba trabajando el turno de noche en la fábrica. Alguien debe haber entrado mientras yo trabajaba y la mató. - Sr. Torres explicó al inspector.

El inspector tocó el cuello de la Señora Torres. -Ella todavía está cálida. Ella murió hace una hora.- dijo el inspector.

- Sí, yo sé - dijo Sr. Torres. Él estaba llorando. - Solo evité el asesino por minutos.
