Durante muchos años, he apreciado la música de Ruben Blades. Es un salsero de Panamá, y también compositor, actor, músico, activista y político. Me encanta escuchar su música en mi auto cuando conduzco. Una de sus canciones realmente me ha tocado recientemente. Se llama Patria. Un niño le pregunta al cantante "cuál es el significado de la palabra 'patria'". Flor de barrio, hermanito ", responde el cantante, “con el alma en la garganta,  patria son tantas cosas bellas ". Últimamente, esta canción me hace llorar.
