El presidente de EE.UU, Barack Obama ha estado hablando del asunto de los derechos humanos en China y expresando su frustración durante un rato. Aunque el gobierno de China fue de acuerdo en que va a hacer un esfuerzo a mejorar la situación de los drechos humanos, parece que no ha hecho mucho todavía. Durante el visito del presidente chino, Hu Jintao la semana pasada, el presidente Obama hizo hincapié en la importancia de los derechos humanos individuales en la sociedad y mencionó lo que hay más cosas el gobierno chino puede hacer. Sorprendentemente, el presidente chino admitió la primera vez que su país tiene que mejorar la situación de los derechos humanos. Además el presidente Obama le animó a China a adaptar los valores fundamentales de los humanos como libertad de expresión, religion, y asamblea sin mencionar a los presos políticos en China. Ojalá que el presidente Obama le sugiriera al presidente chino que deje la independencia de Tíbet y libere a los presos por su punto de vista político (y deje que la gente visite cualquier sitio web que quiere!). Pero es bueno que el presidente Obama intenta a mantener buena relación con China porque China es el poder mundial el próximo así que es mejor entrarle por el ojo derecho. Y los intereses de China son los intereses de EE.UU y viceversa. EE.UU necesita China así como China necesita EE.UU. EE.UU y China no son distintos y ambos quieren lo que es el mejor para el mundo.
