Hay una psicología del simbolismo del color, y hay varios factores que la influyen: el tono y la variación especifica de un color, la cantidad y colocación de un color, la forma y el objecto que ocupa un color, y la combinación de colores. La psicología de los colores influye el diseño, la publicidad, hasta nuestras mentes y cuerpos.
Naranja es una mezcla de rojo y amarillo. Rojo significa seducción, violencia, peligro, ira y aventura. Nuestros antepasados prehistóricos vieron el rojo como el color del fuego y de la sangre. De hecho, la mayor parte del simbolismo de rojo surge de sus asociaciones con el pasado. Amarillo, un color brillante y edificante, representa la creatividad, determinación, fuerza y suceso. Naranja, una mezcla de los dos, forma un color de energía, el sol y los trópicos. Representa entusiasmo, fascinación, creatividad, determinación, atracción, éxito, aliento, estimulación y la felicidad. Un emblema simbólico, naranja significa fuerza y resistencia.
En estos tiempos del pandémico, quizás naranja seria un color inspirador con que deberíamos pintar nuestras casas y envolvernos con mantas.
