Los medicamentos están regulados porque pueden tener efectos malos si no están usados correctamente. No hay ningunas de las mismas reglas para vitaminas, suplementos y remedios herbarios. Según Google, investigadores de los Centros para el Control y la Prevención de Enfermedades informaron que las malas reacciones a los suplementos dietéticos envían al menos a 23.000 estadounidenses a las salas de emergencia cada año y a miles de personas a las salas de los hospitales. Un problema es el control de calidad. Algunos suplementos se contaminan con otros elementos durante su fabricación.
El artículo dije que actualmente evidencia de que estos productos tienen algún efecto comprobado en la salud y el bienestar humanos no existe. La misma puede estar dicho sobre la mayoría de las vitaminas. Por esa razón, tomo solamente pocas vitaminas.
