«Una flor amarilla» por Julio Cortázar toca dos temas interesantes para mí.  El albedrío es el primer tema y el valor de una vida es el segundo. 

 

El albedrío

En esta historia, un hombre que voy a llamar «el borracho» mata a un chico para romper la cadena eterna de vidas miserables.  Luego, el borracho ve una flor amarilla y se da cuenta que se equivocó.  Después, busca a un individuo que parece como sí mismo.  Si busca a esta persona, no vaya a interponer en su vida, como hizo al chico, vaya a permitirla a continuar vivir su vida.  Antes de ver la flor amarilla, el borracho creía que todas personas piensen en que tienen libertad y albedrío, pero la verdad es que ellos viven la misma vida otra vez y otra vez, una vida que está preordinada.  Lo irónico es que el borracho no piense en que si es su destino a matar el chico y que el no tiene albedrío tampoco. 

 

El valor de vida

Hasta el borracho ve la flor amorilla cree que una vida estúpida, de fracasos, monotonía y humillación no tiene valor.  Entonces, ve la flora y piense en que las flores son una pequeña belleza en las vidas imbéciles.  Afronta la nada, donde no hay flores y se da cuenta de todas vidas tienen valor, incluso las vidas estúpidas.
