         La madre de mi amigo murió la semana pasada.  Su padre que tiene noventa años subrevivio. El no camina bien, no puede ver bien y no puede oír bien. Mas que todo, a pesar de todo, no es la cabeza la que duele, aunque sufre de migrañas graves, no el cuerpo, aunque tiene cáncer metastatico, pero es su alma que mas duele. Siente un vacío terrible.  Vivieron con su esposa durante 65 años juntos. Tiene miedo, no sabe vivir solo, descuidado y enfermo. Pero quiere que sus hijas (mi amiga tiene una hermana menor) se vayan a casa para descansar, no a pasar tiempo con él.
         Mi amiga y su hermana, gente maravillosa, están preocupadas por él, pero sobre todo lastiman su alma y conciencia. Ambos amaban a papá más que a mamá. Fue fácil con él. No fue fácil con ella. Tenía un temperamento pesado, siempre exigió, insistió por su cuenta. De repente se había ido, y resultó que habían aprendido mucho de ella: para seguir adelante sin importar qué, ser fieles y devotas, distinguir lo importante de lo pequeño e innecesario.
             Vi una muy buena película la semana pasada. "Historia del matrimonio" con Adam Driver y Scarlet Johanson. Interpretan a una pareja casada que se divorcia. Fue un matrimonio feliz donde el esposo y la esposa se respetaban y se amaban, pero luego decidieron romperse. La película no aclara qué la causó, pero no es tan importante. Es importante que, como resultado, en lugar de una familia feliz de tres personas, haya tres personas infelices. El egoísmo ganó, todos perdieron.
Tengo una pregunta retórica: ¿Por qué la gente no puede apreciar lo que tiene? No hay respuesta. Es una lástima.
