La escasez es deprimente. Es difícil imaginar la desaparición de recursos naturales que existen ahora, pero también sabemos que nada desaparezca, solo cambia. Por eso en el futuro, los sistemas de reciclar y reutilizar sean muy esenciales y hayan que mejorar con respeto a la eficiencia. Espero que la escasez sea la causa de más pensamiento creativo, más compartimento, y más cooperación y no solo la causa de más peleas, protección personal, celos, y desigualdad. Viviendo en el área de la bahía ya entendemos muy bien la escasez . Como muchas ciudades grandes, tenemos escasez de alojamiento, de espacio verde, de quietud, y mucho más. Este año tenemos suficiente agua, pero muchos locales en el mundo no lo tiene, y a medida que no soy una persona que planea para el apocalíptico siempre me pregunta qué va a pasar entre la gente cuando un pozo se seca.
