¿Qué es el trugo?

La mayoría de los deportes tiene orígenes humildes y por lo visto, el trugo no es diferente. Imagino que muchos juegos comiencen con un intento de aliviar el aburrimiento. Por ejemplo, el deporte de curling se originó en Escocia durante sus inviernos largos con mucho frío y hielo. Cuando la gente no podía soportar quedarse en casa un minuto más, tuvieron que hacer algo para divertirse afuera.

Además del croquet, el golf y la petanca, este juego con anillos de caucho me parece tener similitudes al curling. No me sorprendería averiguar que el trabajador ferroviario, Tom Grieves tuviera antepasados de Esocia.
