Event Description
Time to start reading! Next month, we will discuss a well-known classic novel, Francisco de Quevedo's La vida de Buscón, or The Life of the Swindler. This witty and cynical novel is set in a boarding house in Salamanca peopled by unsavory characters. It has been reviewed in "The New Essential Guide to Spanish Reading," which is published by America Reads Spanish, a campaign aimed to increase the use and reading of the Spanish language in the US.
The workshop to discuss this book will be on Friday, November 4th and November 11th at 5:30 pm in the Fillmore office. Instructor Carmen will lead discussion.
All are welcome, not just current students. Bring a friend!
