Estas historias de la deportividad me conmovieron porque muestran que, aunque hayan competencias entre equipos, todos somos seres humanos. Podemos ayudarnos mutuamente y difundir una cultura de amistad y solidaridad.
Con el ejemplo de Luz Long, destacaba que Long dio su propia ventaja de estrategia a Jesse Owens, especialmente durante una época de prejuicio fuerte. (Leí en Wikipedia que después de los juegos olímpicos se comunicó Long a Owens, pidiéndolo que diera a sus niños Kai-Heinrich y Wolfgang "como pueden estar cosas entre hombres antes de la guerra.")
Con Abbey D'Agostino, me fije en su instinto de actuar un entendimiento que los deportes son una esfuerza colectiva. No para dominar sin ética sino para averiguar justamente quién es la atleta mayor.
Con el ejemplo de abandonar su posición de Tana Umega, es interesante que como se practica no hesitarse en los deportes, Umega no se hesitó ayudar a un ser humano.
Aunque hayan disturbios o motines de causa de los deportes, todavía me complace que esta actividad brinda oportunidades de elevar la cultura y el espíritu común.
