Una Historia corta de Stanford

Leland y Jane Stanford fuera muy ricos.  Ellos tuvieron un rancho grande con muchos caballos en Palo Alto.  Ellos tuvieron un niño único, Leland Jr.  La familia viajaron para Europa en 1884.  A los padres les importo introducir Leland Jr. a la cultura rica en Europa - la cultura que a ellos les falto en Los Estados Unidos.  Alla, Leland Jr. enfermo con la tifoidea y el murio.  A Leland y Jane les apasiono la muerte de Leland Jr..  A ellos les hizo falta un monumento acordarlo.  Entonces Leland y Jane decidieron establecer una universidad que se llamo Leland Stanford Jr. Universidad a su rancho en Palo Alto.  El padre, Leland, murió antes de inaugurar de universidad.  Porque Jane fui una mujer muy fuerte ella decidió continuar el proyecto.  La universidad se abrió a 1891.  A Jane le importo (? importaron) que las jóvenes tuvieron la oportunidad ir para universidad.  Entonces cuando la universidad se abrió hubo ambos los jóvenes y las jóvenes en la primer clase.   Jane fui una mujer fuerte y progresista!  Muchas gracias, Jane.
