Creo que hay ventajas y desventajas de usar un dispositivo de traducción. Por ejemplo, sería muy útil en situaciones cuando solo hay que tener una conversación simple, como en un restaurante o mercado. También, si estás en un lugar donde el idioma es muy difícil aprender, podría ser más eficiente y efectivo usar un dispositivo de traducción.

Sin embargo, no creo que estos dispositivos deben reemplazar completamente el aprendizaje de nuevo idioma. Primero, me imagino que será muy dificil y incomodo tender una conversación sofisticada usando un dispositivo. También, creo que todos los viajeros deben intentar aprender un poco del idioma local. Por supuesto no necesitan ser fluidas, pero creo que es un señal de respeto por el país que visitan para aprender algunas palabras o frases comunes.
