Tarea para Carmen 10 noviembre

Este artículo no dijo nada nuevo o sorprendente e lo que respecta mujeres en la investigación científica. Las mujeres no han sido promovidas en la ciencia, así que no es de extrañar que no hayan ganado los premios por su trabajo. Como la profesora española dice en el artículo, "se tiene muy interiorizado la idea de que la ciencia 'es para hombre'". Últimamente los educadores han reconocida la desigualdad y han promovida la educación STEM para niñas (y minorías). La doctora Elizabeth Blackburn de UCSF ganó el premio Nobel en la fisiología o la medicina en 2009. Con suerte ella no es la última mujer en ganar tal premio, y las científicas que trabajan ahora serán reconocidas con galardones de prestigio y mejores salarios.

Este fin de semana ha sido ocupada. He limpiado el jardín de hojas caídas. Mi esposo y yo ya hemos comenzado a preparar para el Día de Acción de Gracias. Hemos llenado nuestra despensa con cosas para la cena. Incluso he tenido tiempo de leer mis libros, y me allegro de haber hecho mi tarea.
