La Tarea para Carmen 11 de septiembre

En abril oí el autor Yiyun Yi sugerir que la gente leyera “Guerra Y Paz” durante la pandemia. Su idea fue leer 10 a 12 paginas cada día. Ella publico en su sitio web sus comentarios sobre el libro de Leo Tolstoy.

(Parece que Yiyun Yi lee este libro cada año).

A mí me gusta este idea. “Guerra y Paz” es una novela rusa, una clásica de literature mundial. La novela cuenta la historia de la invasion de Rusia por Napolean y el impacto por Rusia tsarist. Tolstoy dice la historia de una vista general y de las perspectivas de carácters varias. Es un gran libro. Nuestra traducción tiene 1,215 páginas.

Le sugerí leer esta a Ed y a mi amiga, Terri. Así que, en 10 agosto empezamos. Leemos 10 paginas cada día, y discutimos el libro cada dos semanas. En este ritmo terminaremos antes del día de Acción de Gracias.

Leer unas pocas páginas cada día es para mí, una manera completar un libro que tiene muchas páginas. Probablemente no estaríamos esto si este no fuera el momento de la pandemia. Hasta ahora vale la pena es esfuerzo.
