El sábado, tomé una clase en el bordado.  Cuando era joven, mi madre me enseñé a coser, y yo me enseñé el bordado y el ganchillo.  Pero, son más de cincuenta años que no lo hace, y no me lo acuerdo.  Y me gustaría conocer hacerlo.  Hay una escuela del bordado en Union Square.  Pude caminar desde me casa hasta la estación MUNI en Castro - muy conveniente llegar al centro.  Por treinta y cinco dólares, se enseñan cuatro puntos en tres horas, y puede diseñar un pequeño cuadrado.  Yo hice un búho asiendo sobre un ramo.

Después, mi novio mi encontró a Williams Sonoma.  Hace algunos meses, incendié una sartén y debía comprar una nueva.  Habían una salda por el día de la madre, y aun que la costaba mucho.  Y también fue una fiesta cultural aquel día – de los chinos taiwanés-americano.  Hubieron bailarines, cantantes y artes marciales. 

Finalmente, fuimos a una cervecería cerca de Union Square – Mikeller.  No la conocí, pero estaba allí hace cincos años.  Tienen muchos tipos de cerveza, y el camarero era bien informado sobre estilos de cerveza.  Aquella que me gustaba más era del estilo “black lager” – se usa una especie particular de levadura, que crece al fondo del contenedor, en una temperatura más fría que normal, y que se permite de envejecer por meses en vez de semanas.  Se añade una malta que se llama chocolate, que la da un color más oscuro.  Usando esta técnica deja una cerveza más alcohólica y más lisa.
