Muchos tipos de comida callejera de los países Latinoamericanos son influenciados por la cultura de sus inmigrantes, y Perú no es excepción. En esto episodio de Comida Callejera Latinoamérica aprendí que el ceviche Peruviano está conocido como “Nikkéi” y fue influenciado para los inmigrantes japoneses que llegaron en Perú el siglo anterior. Nuestro protagonista, Toshi, es una generación secunda inmigrante de Japón. Su padre fue el dueño y el jefe de cocina de un restaurante famoso en Lima. Toshi heredó el negocio, pero prefirió a empezar un negocio propio, un puesto pequeño, con un menú muy simple. A pesar de se describiendo como un perdedor, se parezca estar (ser?) muy feliz con su vida, cocinando para la gente común. La comida callejera que sobre todo quiero a probar son los picarones. Son buñuelos hecho de harina zapallos y harina camote, y por eso, puedo comerlos. Soy alérgico al trigo, y no he podido comer buñuelos hace muchos años. ¡Los picarones suenan deliciosos!
